Project details

The aim of this project is to analyse recent data from our quantum gravimeter by representing the signal in a wavelet basis. The representation has not been used previously to rperesent quantum signals of the kind we will explore here. Wavelet representations have broad application in signal processing, image processing, image enhancement and image compression. The student will be working with unpublished data from a cutting edge experiment. In addition to computational work, there will be the opportunity to take new data on our state of the art gravimeter and learn about Bose Einstein condensation, matter wave interference and quantum sensing.
