Research interests

My research focusses on the computational and theoretical study of structure and physical properties of real disordered materials. This includes the development of parallel algorithms for the calculation of effective physical properties from tomographic images, inverse problems, and cross-correlations to morphological measures. Particular topics include:

  • High-dimensional NMR inverse Laplace spectroscopy
  • Transport properties from NMR
  • Elastic properties of disordered materials
  • Permeability and dispersion, contaminant migration
  • Electrical conductivity, resistivity index
  • Morphological characterisation and geostatistics on tomographic images
