Cables and adapters

We now stock various cables, adapters, usb sticks, etc. If you need any of these feel free to drop past the SCU and we can supply them.

Changing your password

You can change your University account password at
You can change your Physics computer account password at
Both of the above websites require you to know your current password. If you no longer know your current password please visit the SCU to get your password reset.

Passwords must be of sufficient complexity, at least 8 characters long with a mix of upper/lower case, numbers, symbols, etc. If your new password does not meet these standards you will be prompted to try again.

Still running XP, Vista or 7 or just need a re-install?

Unfortunately all versions of Windows older than 8.1 are longer receiving security updates from Microsoft and will increasingly become an security risk on the school's network. If you are still using one of these please contact us to discuss your options.

We can upgrade most Physics computers to Windows 10 for free. We aim to get most computers re-installed (including OS, most applications, and restoring your user files) in a day.
