Nominations for the awards can be made by anyone in EME (self-nomination encouraged). A

submitted with the nomination. The evidence can include publications, invitations to
conferences, student evaluations or references from senior academics, collaborators and
event organizers amongst others.
Deadline for submission in 2019 is October 31st and awards will be announced at the EME
Christmas party. The selection committee will be gender balanced and made up of EME senior
academics and one external member from the School. A person can only receive the award
once but can re-nominate if unsuccessful. To be eligible, a student or ECR will need to have
been at EME for at least 6 months at the deadline for nomination.
The awardee will receive a certificate, a note on the EME website and a contribution of $1,000
towards their academic endeavors (e.g. conference visits etc.). The award will include a
citation recognizing the particular achievement by the awardee.
