ANU OSA-SPIE Student Chapter Outreach Team Visit to Orange High School

From 12 Dec to 13 Dec, the ANU OSA-SPIE student chapter outreach team visited Orange High School and organised presentations and hands-on experiments on the physical aspects of light, such as geometrical optics, colors, diffraction, and polarisation etc. The presentations reached about 70 students in year groups 10, 11 and 12. All three sessions were very well received by the students and school teachers.

This is the third outreach trip this year under the financial support of SPIE Education Outreach Grant awarded to the ANU OSA-SPIE student chapter. In total, we ran seven sessions around Australia and reached about 150 students, and we plan to continue it annually.
