Director's Message

Dear Colleagues,

The VC’s 2018 State of the University Address will be held on Wednesday 31 January at 11am, to register please visit Eventbrite.

For those submitting an ARC application next month please review the new College guidelines outlined in my email of 18th December. These changes will be enforced this year so it is important that you have your application reviewed in time.  There will be an offer to have your first 2 pages read by a colleague in RSES, RSC or RSAA, details will follow shortly.

A reminder that EoI’s are currently open for the Heads of EME and Applied Mathematics. All applications can be sent to the School Manager, Stewart Hilton before the end of January.

This week’s pic is from Tom Tunningley in Nuclear Physics who recently visited the High Energy Accelerator Research Organisation (KEK) in Tsukuba, Japan.  The photo is of the Belle detector currently being upgraded as part of the electron-positron collider Super KEKB Project.

Have a good week,

Tim
