Director's Message

An EoI process is starting today for the next Head of Nuclear Physics.  The Department has agreed that the next term will be 5 years.  All applications should be sent to the School Manager, Stewart Hilton, by 5pm Friday 24th November.

I draw your attention to the ARC Debriefing session being run today at 2pm in Link Seminar Room.  We are putting in place some new arrangements to assist you given the shortened submission timeline this year for ARC.

Shortly, I will be sending out a series of resolutions from a meeting the administrators and Heads held with me yesterday concerning administration changes in the School.  This will be a change for everyone to feed comments back to that group, either via their Head or directly to me.

This week’s pic comes from the HDR team and students who attended the Kioloa Retreat last week.  It was Jia Yang’s drone that captured this great event.  My thanks to the Karen, Luda and Lan for organising this opportunity for students to network.

Have a good weekend,

Tim

HDR Retreat at Kiola

The first RSPE HDR retreat took place last week - taking 55 HDR students
from departments across the school to the ANU Kioloa Coastal Campus for
two days. Designed to increase inter-team and inter-department
communication, the retreat was a mixture of social activities,
student-run workshops, and simply, time.
