Quantum correlations and entanglement are the basis for most of the intriguing applications of quantum technologies. In optics, photon pairs generated by spontaneous parametric down-conversion in nonlinear optical materials provide such non-classical correlations in e.g. wavelength or propagation direction, which give rise to improved optical sensing and imaging modalities. In my talk I will present results on the implementation of quantum sensing and spectroscopy in integrated optical waveguides and will give an outlook of activities at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in quantum imaging.
