The School and Plasma Research Lab are hosting the International Tokamak Physics Activity Workshop during the week April 6-11 (itpa2019.anu.edu.au). This is a biannual meeting to consider the physics and engineering of plasma diagnostics and control systems in support of the ITER tokamak and future reactor-grade fusion devices. It is the first ITPA workshop meeting in a non-ITER party country and follows on from the Conceptual Design Review of the Australian ITER diagnostic contribution (iter.anu.edu.au) in March at ITER Organisation headquarters in France.
