On behalf of the OSA student chapter, I invite you all to our seminar of the year. The visit of our speaker, Professor Mikhail Noginov, is sponsored by the OSA lecturer program, which aims to provide an opportunity for local students and researchers to interact with world-class scientists at the leading edge of technological advances in optics and photonics. Please find below the details of the seminar.
We will review a variety of plasmonicnano-lasers andspacers operating in thelocalised and propagating surface plasmon regimes, with and without intentional feedback. Most of plasmonic lasers involve ensembles of highly concentrated dye molecules strongly coupled to plasmonic resonances. The later phenomenon opens a new perspective in the development of plasmonic and miniature cavity lasers.
